Do you have an interest in the paranormal? Ever wonder how real investigators separate evidence from imagination?Welcome to the Ghost Hunting 101–104 Series, a four-part immersive training designed for curious beginners and serious paranormal enthusiasts alike every Friday at The Plant from 7:00-9:00pm capping these classes with a ghost walk at the end of the series. These classes are taught by Shivers Owner and Creator, Parapsychologist Gina Grossbauer.
Each class builds on the last, guiding you from foundational tools to advanced investigation methods, ending with a live field experience.
Ghost Hunting 101 - Foundations - June 19
We begin with the basics.
You’ll learn about common trends in the paranormal community, traditions and history, and the background of ghosts themselves. We’ll discuss how television differs from real-world investigations and how to approach a case with credibility and curiosity.
Ghost Hunting 102 - Entities & Energy - June 26
We’ll explore different types of energies, how to identify patterns of activity, and how spirits may be reflections of time. This class also covers cleansing practices, protection methods, and an overview of house clearing procedures.
Ghost Hunting 103 - Advanced Techniques & Professional Equipment - July 10
This class introduces more advanced investigative tools and structured techniques. We’ll cover professional-grade equipment concepts, controlled EVP sessions. We'll also talk about elementals and folklore influences on ghost hunting. *This class is separately more expensive due to new equipment being provided. If you choose to skip 103, you can still attend 104
Ghost Hunting 104 - Case Building, Ethics, & Field Preparation - July 17
The final class focuses on what separates hobbyists from professionals.
We’ll discuss client interviews, safety and liability considerations, ethical storytelling, when not to investigate, environmental baseline readings, debunking methods, documentation practices, and team roles during an investigation. Learn how to gather evidence responsibly and think like a seasoned investigator.
