About this Event
In the event of severe weather, the in-person portion of the workshop will be rescheuled to June 18th at 9:00
Vegetable crops have been bred to be tasty for people, but often insects, fungi, and bacteria have developed an affinity for them as well. Weeds can be major competitors for resources against vegetable crops, reducing growth and yield. However, a holistic approach focusing on plant health, proper problem identification, and management strategies that minimize harm to beneficial insects can prevent or mitigate the effects of these persistent challenges in vegetable gardening.
Join Matt Jones (Extension Horticulture Agent) and the Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Chatham County for a webinar and/or workshop on how to manage pests, diseases, and weeds.
Participants will learn how to distinguish among different kinds of insect damage, how to reduce W**d pressure, and how the Master Gardener℠ volunteers can help you identify problems and make management recommendations, with a focus on organic management strategies.
There are two options to participate in this event:
- Register to recieve a pre-recorded webinar (200 slots available) OR
