GGs Pool Play Open

Welcome to the GGs Pool Play Open! Join us at the Arlington YMCA Tennis & Squash Center for an evening filled with fun and friendly competition.

You may register for either the 3.0-3.5 mixed doubles tournament or the 4.0-4.5 open tournament. Please only register for one of these events. You will not be allowed to register for more than one. Each tournament draw will include 8 teams. If registration spots are full, you will be able to sign up for a waitlist.

Please try to have the average level of you and your partner be within the range you are registering for.

Open tournament, means that teams can be composed of any gender combination!

We just got approved by DUPR! We will be putting tournament results in there.

This is our first pool play tournament! This means for each division there will be two groups of four teams. Each team plays every other team in their group, and the top two from each group advance to the knockout stage which is composed of the top four teams. These top four teams will play a single elimination tournament to determine a champion.

If there is a tie between between more than two teams in a group, the teams with the greatest number of total points won will advance.

Every team is guarenteed at least three matches

If you have a preferred partner you'd like to team up with, you'll have the opportunity to enter their name during the registration process. Please note that both you and your partner need to register separately for the event. It's important that both of you list each other's names on your respective registration forms to be officially paired together. If you do not specify a partner's name, or if only one of you lists the other, we will assign you a random teammate.

In the event we are running out of time, we may decide to reduce the length of the games.

Check in will start at 7:30pm, so please arrive on time!

• We will follow the official USA pickleball rules, please review them here
• All games will be up to 15 win by 2
• Format will be subject to change depending on time
• Players will be required to make their own out calls
• Please call the score out before every point
• Play fair and have fun!
