What does this workshop cover?
This workshop is great for anyone who has bought themselves a sewing machine and not sure where to start, or have had their machine in a cupboard for years and now need a reminder! In this workshop you will be taken through each step of using your machine, from turning on and setting up the machine, to using different stitches and there will be lots of handy hints. Morgan your tutor is an experienced dressmaker, who will be able to cover all aspects of using your machine and send you home feeling more confident, ready to take on some projects.
What you need to bring
Please ensure you bring your own machine, bring any of the sewing machine feet you have so we can show you what they do and some thread. If you do not have thread, we have it for sale in the shop.
Who the workshop is suitable for
Complete beginners or perhaps you have a new machine you want to learn about.
Who the workshop is run by
Our very own Morgan who is a very experienced dressmaking. She has worked on TV and in theatre and comes with a wealth of knowledge.
Other things you need to know
All workshops are run at LilyBoo, Lostwithiel on the upstairs floor. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the workshop area but once there you will have everything you need, from a small kitchen for tea and coffee along with a bathroom. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
