About this Event
How will humans need to adapt to new realities of a world where machines can think? What will be the new leadership agenda, and how will work evolve? Nora Colton and Jean Gomes showcase interviews with leading voices to explore the leadership challenges facing managers in an automating world.
The third event in the UCL GBSH Leadership Series brings together leading thinkers in this field, including:
Dr Susan Thomas: Director for Google Health in the UK. She joined Google after 15 years of consulting in the health and life sciences industry, most recently as a senior partner at Ernst & Young. Prior to consulting, she was a practicing physician in both the UK and Australia, where she undertook her training in medicine for the elderly. During her time in consulting, Susan worked across the NHS, with a focus on improving clinical quality and operational performance - not least through the incorporation of digital technologies. She leads Google’s work with the NHS across various products and services and is the clinical lead for its machine learning work in health.
Nigel Toon: Author of How AI Thinks, AI - How we Built it, How it Can Help us and How we Can Control it. He is CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder of Graphcore, a technology business leader, entrepreneur and engineer.
Dr Charlotte Blease: Author of Dr Bot - Why Doctors Can Fail and How AI Could Save Lives, She is a health informaticist with a background in philosophy and an Associate Professor (Docent) at the Participatory eHealth and Health Data Research Group at Uppsala University, Sweden and Researcher at Digital Psychiatry, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.
Professor Jean Gomes and Professor Nora Colton will draw on our thinkers’ insights and ideas to explore the opportunities for leaders to positively evolve health care systems.
