About this Event
Join us for a gallery talk in conversation with Harriet Brady, winner of The Judges’ Prize at the Harley Open and Lisa Gee, Director of the Harley Foundation.
Harriet Brady is an emerging portrait artist from Sheffield. Her prizewinning painting Summer Birthdays took four months to complete and was commended for its warmth and inviting sense of intimacy. You might recognise Harriet from Sky Portrait Artist of the Year – where she was shortlisted for her painting of newsreader and journalist Mishal Hussain.
What inspires these intimate portraits? What’s it like painting in front of a live audience and dozens of cameras? Come along to see Harriet’s prizewinning portrait and learn more about her inspiration, experiences, and how she juggles life as an emerging professional artist with a full-time career.
