Discover Art!

Taking place on the third Saturday of each month, children will learn about the art and artists in our exhibitions, before putting their new knowledge to use in a fun creative workshop.

They might paint their own artwork inspired by the Harley Open, or craft a clock using the historic clocks in our museum as a starting point.

Tickets for these sessions will be released in our monthly e-newsletter, sign up to be the first to hear.

21 September: Paint like a Professional with an exhibiting guest artist from the Harley Open
19 October: Tick Tock, Make your own Clock
16 November: Understanding Iconography with guest artist Ian Kirkpatrick
21 December: Patterns, Prints and Wrapping Paper

Discover Art! is taught by Ruth Waller alongside guest artists.

Ruth is a contemporary textile artist and half of the creative partnership Waller Hewett. Waller Hewett create artwork and installations which combine art, design and craft, and have won them numerous awards including ‘Best in Show’ at the London Craft Fair.

She is a highly experienced tutor and teaches across the Harley Foundation’s education programme.
