Future Design Lab Cymru: Lughnasadh
to celebrate Lughnasadh, the Celtic harvest festival
About this Event
Join the third Future Design Lab Cymru event for a beach bonfire, futures thinking workshop, and potluck using the sand as our medium.
🔥
For Lughnasadh, the fire festival we will meet on Sunday at 4.30pm to 7 to drift from Y Storfa to Swansea Bay together for a collective bonfire to celebrate the harvest and scribe our futures in the sand.
🏖️
Lughnasadh is a Celtic fire festival that traditionally celebrates the seasonal shift into the harvest season, celebtrating the fertility of the land, an annual ritual to commemorate the changing of the seasons. We will have a potluck to celebrate the harvest!
🌻
To celebrate, we will:
1) 7th generation drift workshop from Y Storfa in the city centre to seafront (Civic Centre) 4.30 - 5
2) futures workshop from 5pm - 6pm on the beach, where we use the sand as our medium play a specific futures game: the ‘Three Horizons’ model.
3) bonfire, intention setting, and potluck from 6 - 7!
🔮
Expect sun, good times, and fire! Bring some food to share, or head to the nearby Co-Op after the workshop and get some snacks!
Hosted by Tatiana Bodnar.
