Pressgang Mutiny are Toronto's Shantymen, dedicated to traveling the globe to discover shanties, works songs and the people who sing them. A quartet of dynamic musicians and tall ship sailors, they have performed extensively at festivals and venues across Canada, the US, and Europe. They were an Official Showcase artist at the 2023 Folk Music Ontario Conference and have showcased at Folk Alliance International.
With their dedication to showcasing and sharing the full breadth of one of the world's first truly multicultural music, Pressgang Mutiny have collaborated with and learned from sea shanty singers from around the globe. Their third album, Departure, will be released in earlky 2026. By far their most ambitious project to date, Departure explores the musical connections between shanties and other musical genres and includes sampling, instrumentation, guest musicians – and of course Pressgang Mutiny’s signature four-part harmony.

Captain Cat and the Sailors are folk lovers from Swansea who love playing live.
Formed as a one-off for a talent contest in late 2008, Captain Cat and the Sailors are a shanty loving folk band that just keep on going. Based in South Wales, they draw on a range of musical traditions including shanties, working songs, Welsh, Irish and American music to create immersive and engaging musical experiences with their audiences. If you like stories, singing along and sinking beers then they are the band for you.

The Singing Armadillos is a male singing group with 13 members based in Swansea, Wales.
