Furoshiki is a square piece of fabric used by the Japanese to wrap items. It has a rich history and is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. It is an eco-friendly way to wrap gifts and promote sustainable practices this holiday season.
In this course, you will learn about the fascinating history of Furoshiki and how to use it in many ways. The class will also include guidance on selecting types of fabrics from the Reverse Garbage Warehouse, your selection will then be used in the course.

Yoshiko Ito, a Japanese visual artist based in Sydney, has devoted herself to the exploration of Japanese arts and culture, drawing inspiration from her study of traditional Japanese metalwork.
