The Missouri Mycological Society's second annual FUNGA FAIR will be at the Missouri Botanical Garden on Saturday, July 18th from 10am-4pm. This is a FREE event - included with general Garden admission. Hint: On Saturdays St. Louis City and County residents get FREE admission until noon. 🙂Here's what to expect:
• Engaging and educational presentations by the infamous Dr. Gordon Walker @Fascinated By Fungi and MOMS head of research Mike Snyder.
• A specimen table where our mycologists will display and share details about a variety of mushroom species collected just for the event.
• Cultivation workshop with take-home oyster mushroom grow kits.
• Cooking demo with delicious gourmet mushrooms
• Microscope demonstrations, including the opportunity to take an even closer look at our fungal friends and their tiniest features.
• Informational table with details about how to become a member, info about other upcoming events, and MOMS T-shirts, hats and stickers for sale.
• Various educational displays and mushroom art.
• Local vendors, including fresh, gourmet mushrooms for sale.
