Fundamentals of Drawing: The focus of the class will be on learning the fundamentals of drawing including the understanding of line, shape, form, texture, and value using simple objects. Essentially, drawing instruction teaches you to see these elements correctly and how to develop techniques to record them accurately. You will start by using line in a variety of ways to understand shapes, which are, in turn, the building blocks of form. Forms are created by the manipulation of value to create the illusion of three dimensions. The process is cumulative where knowledge and insight build toward a fully realized piece.
