In February, we gather in fire, in flame, and in sisterhood — still deep in the belly of winter.
Imbolc is the celebration of survival. It is the moment our ancestors realized life had returned to the hearth. The ewes were birthing and the chickens were laying. Five thousand years ago, this moment meant the difference between life and death and whether a community would survive the next six weeks of winter.
This year carries a rare and potent alignment: the Full Snow Moon rises on Imbolc. The last time this happened was in 1981 — forty-five years ago.
What to expect:
1. Fire — our elemental witness to survival, nourishment, protection, and the inner heat that keeps us alive through wintering.
2. Feast — a shared table of traditional winter foods: meat, milk, cheese, eggs, and bread — the foods that sustained our ancestors when the world was still frozen
3. Guided Meditation + Ritual — a slow, embodied meditation weaving fire, moon, and earth energy to honor winter survival, ancestral resilience, and the steady life force still burning beneath the cold.
4. Candle Dressing — we’ll dress candles with herbs, stones, and intention, honoring the ancient act of tending fire as a declaration of life.
This is a gathering of endurance and resilience to honor the fertile warmth that still lives in our bodies even when the land sleeps.
