About this Event
Engineer. Clinician. Inventor. Teacher. Entrepreneur. Corporate Executive. Investor. Todd Brinton's career is a masterclass in weaving together varied experiences and knowledge streams for the express purpose of doing things that matter.
On the path to co-founding Shockwave Medical (now part of J&J) the interventional cardiologist and former director of the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship had two unsuccessful ventures. But, with a mindset of his career as a portfolio, and an understanding that failure is central to the innovation process, he was prepared to try again. This same attitude, and an unwillingness to be deterred by fear, would motivate him to take on a new challenge at Edwards Lifesciences: driving continued need-driven innovation at a company with deep technical expertise.
Join us on April 16, for an inspired conversation with a Biodesign powerhouse. Todd will speak with Kate Garrett about the practice of innovation, what he most enjoys about the process, the traits that define the most successful innovators, what he learned from his failures, his evolution as a leader from Stanford to Edwards, his perspective on the current health technology landscape, and much more.
