Fringe Flicks: Love Is Strange - Short Film Night
About this Event
Love is tender. Love is awkward. Love is obsessive. Love is sometimes a terrible idea.
Fringe Flicks Season 4 continues with Love Is Strange, bringing together 13 short films about warped romance, awkward desire, tenderness, obsession and emotional misfires.
Across live action, animation, stop motion and experimental film, the programme moves from tense relationships and impossible honesty to strange creatures, peculiar attractions, burlesque, obsession and a man who falls hopelessly in love with a pineapple.
Join us at DoES Liverpool on Friday 25 September for a low-pressure, communal film night with space to settle in, watch something unusual and enjoy it with other curious people. A Love Is Strange playlist curated by Esa Shields will play before the screening, during the interval and afterwards.
Films begin around 7:50pm, with a 20 to 30 minute interval midway. There’ll also be a raffle and an Audience Choice Award, sponsored by The DCP Works. The screening and activities should finish around 10pm, followed by an optional social until around 10:30pm.
