Welcome to Friends in the Kitchen!The Share Kindness Project is proud to be hosting the first special needs focused cooking classes in the State of Michigan!
Our program is simple; we're focusing on teaching members of our special needs community skills such as sanitation, cooking safety, and general safety as well. Every class, we provide our chefs with a simple recipe that can be made at home.
Whether you're joining us for the first time or a returning chef, we're glad to have you!
General Information
Our classes can be fast paced (and messy), so please make sure to bring your A-game to class!
Aprons are provided for you, however, please feel free to bring your own.
Washing hands before interacting with food is required, we will take a moment to wash our hands in class.
Our classes do have a limit of 12, we are no longer allowing unregistered chefs to arrive the day of class and pay.
All registrations and payments must be completed in advance. Your receipt is basically your "ticket" for the class.
Parents and Caregivers:
You are invited to stay and socialize in the library which is next to our kitchen.
In the library, you will find a TV, couches, chairs, and a nice table.
