Friday Night Studio: Everyday Icons with Pru Morrison
Taking inspiration from Pru’s irreverent and humorous ceramic works in Shifting Ground, this hands-on session invites you to reimagine everyday domestic objects—think recliners, toilets, even your pet—as playful, symbolic icons.
Using drawing, collage, and mixed media techniques, you’ll begin with block prints of Pru’s signature columns before layering imagery and personal references to create bold, expressive compositions. Along the way, Pru will share insights into her practice, including her use of satire, historical references, and feminist perspectives.
