As part of our programme of events to celebrate our exhibition ‘Leonora Carrington: The Symptomatic Surreal‘, join us at the Freud Museum for a screening of 'Leonora Carrington: The Lost Surrealist' (2017) directed by Teresa Griffiths.
About the film:
British Surrealist Leonora Carrington rubbed shoulders with the greats of the Surrealist movement during its heyday in Paris and yet, until recently, remained a virtual unknown in the country of her birth. This film explores her dramatic evolution from British debutante to artist in exile, living out her days in Mexico City. The film takes us on a journey into her darkly strange and cinematic world.
