Swallow Film Screening & Gathering
About this Event
Join us for a special community screening of Swallow, a powerful and deeply personal film about the experiences of teachers and former teachers who have felt silenced, overwhelmed or broken by the education system.
This is more than a film screening. It is a chance to come together, to be seen, to feel less alone and to open up an honest conversation about what many teachers carry quietly.
Swallow explores the pressure, pain, identity loss and silence that can sit behind the public role of being a teacher. For many, the film will speak to experiences that have been difficult to explain, difficult to process or difficult to say out loud.
The screening is for current teachers, former teachers, education professionals and anyone who cares about teacher wellbeing and the human cost of the current system.
Please arrive from 2:00pm. The screening will begin at 3:30pm. The event is expected to finish at approximately 5:30pm, but please allow up to four hours so that there is time to arrive, settle in and take part in the full experience.
Before the screening, there will be an optional peaceful photo opportunity for those who would like to help raise awareness of the issues explored in the film. Taking part is entirely optional.
We would be very pleased to welcome you.
Thank you. Swallow Core team. Kat, Paul, Sharon, Sarah, Debbie, Scott.
