Pattern Youth Music Programme
About this Event
The showcase celebrates the achievements of a group of talented young men who have participated in our bespoke Pattern Up Music Programme, designed and delivered by our youth practitioner Emerson Borishade, with support from Venetta Edwards. The programme has enabled participants to develop their understanding of the music industry while building confidence, self-esteem, creativity, and personal aspirations.
Throughout the programme, the young people have demonstrated exceptional talent in songwriting, music production, and live performance. The showcase will provide an opportunity for them to perform their original work and celebrate their achievements with family, professionals, and community partners.
As part of the event, we will also premiere a documentary that captures the young men's journey throughout the programme, highlighting their personal growth, creative development, and the positive impact that music has had on their lives.
Following the documentary, we will host a panel discussion featuring our youth workers alongside Richard Roach, a grime music pioneer. Together, they will explore the role of music as a powerful tool for self-expression, identity, and emotional wellbeing, and discuss how creative spaces can support young men to develop confidence, resilience, and positive futures.
