It could be a story, poem, or spell that's been percolating within you, or it could emerge through a collage process. Your finished zine can be photocopied after the event and shared with friends, keeping the spirit of DIY publishing alive. About your Facilitator

Oscar Ruth, local herb tender and vegetable grower, first made a zine in 2015. “In Praise Of…” launched an obsession. Since then, they’ve created countless collage zines and have shared the paper-folding technique with anyone curious about the DIY publishing format. Oscar co-organized the DC Zinefest for five years before they moved to a farm where they now enjoy hosting zine labs.
