FREE WILL: Manifestors of Realities — Exhibition Opening
About this Event
Seed Archives and DēpART Consultancy invite you to the opening night of FREE WILL: Manifestors of Realities, a limited edition sculptural mask series by artist Asia Clarke (Wild Moon).
The series honours five seminal figures of Afro-Caribbean resistance and liberation — Maurice Bishop (Grenada), Cécile Fatiman (Haiti), Frantz Fanon (Martinique), Carlota Lucumí (Cuba), and Queen Nanny (Jamaica). Each osese wood hand-carved mask and hair sculpture is a reminder that we have free will, and that even if it takes generations, we can manifest our preferred future. We are our ancestors' greatest dream.
Be among the first to view the full series in person, with a DJ set by Wildmoon setting the tone for the evening.
"Architects of revolt, visionaries of liberation, keepers of memory. Their courage is a call to us all, a reminder that freedom is never simply granted — it must be claimed, defended, and cherished." — Fiona Compton, Know Your Caribbean
