About this Event

Men’s Mental Health: Understanding What Impacts It (2 hours)
This 2-hour training is part of the Calm Your Mind campaign—a local initiative designed by men, for men—to offer practical hints and tips for improving mental wellbeing.

The session covers:

  • Key issues affecting men’s mental health
  • Common and positive coping strategies
  • Barriers to seeking help
  • How men communicate and how to support them

With men three times more likely to die by suicide than women, this training aims to raise awareness and equip attendees with the knowledge to support men and help reduce male suicide.

Optional extra Lived experience talk (30mins)*Subject to availability

Hear from an Andy’s Man Club representative as they share their powerful journey from crisis to recovery, along with an overview of the peer support available through Andy’s Man Club.
