Free Open Day, York's Merchant Taylors Hall, a hidden medieval gem

A free to visit OPEN DAY.

An opportunity to explore this splendid medieval building, meet Members of the Company and see inside our lovely Company Hall.

Learn about the life stories of tailors past. Enjoy a colouring activity for children. Learn about weaving and spinning from on-site demonstrators. Refreshments will be available at our pop-up cafe.

Explore this amazing building, a hidden gem in the heart of the City of York. It was built in the 15th century and has been beautifully preserved. An ancient oak roof covers the main Hall and the Blue Hall. You can view unique stained glass, pictures, and architecture.

You can also find out about the Company and its traditions and tailors of the past.
