To celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Developmental Disability Resource Board of Jasper County is hosting FREE screenings of disability-themed movies at Royale Cinema Lounge during the month of March."Out of My Mind" is based on the moving young adult novel by Sharon M. Draper about Melody Brooks, an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who cannot walk or talk but possesses a photographic memory and genius-level intelligence. The story follows her struggle to overcome others' low expectations and find her voice using technology.
Attendees will also receive a FREE concession voucher and have the opportunity to visit with area providers such as Arc of the Ozarks, Easy Living and Firefly. We hope to see you there!
