​🛠️ Who is Higher Power Garage?
​We are a non-profit mechanic shop serving a 45-mile radius of the Joplin area. We believe transportation shouldn’t be a barrier to success. That’s why:
​Free Labor: Our clients only pay for the cost of parts; we provide the professional labor for free.
​The $500 Car Program: We provide reliable transportation to qualified families in need.
​🚗 About Our Car Program
​Through generous community donations, we take in vehicles and invest an average of $1,500 into each one to ensure they are safe and reliable. Our clients purchase these cars for just $500 after completing:
​Basic Auto Maintenance Class
​Budgeting Class
​Car Ownership 101
​Qualified applicants must be working 30+ hours/week (for at least 30 days), have children living in the home, and have no other vehicles registered in their name.
