FREE MMA for the Queer Community

Join Coach Lu, Coach Mars, and your Queer MMA friends on April 19th at 11am at Black Widow MMA for the next session of our new free monthly MMA class for the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome and no experience is necessary! Each month will have a different technique focus.

This session we're practicing no-gi style grappling -- learning how to deal with somebody sitting on you. We'll approach these mount escapes with safety, consent, and communication in mind so that participants feel comfortable with these close-range techniques. Assistant instructors will be present to monitor training.

Queer MMA is intended for ages 16+, but younger teens are welcome to participate with an adult who brings them.

Info: Open practice time to continue practice, review old techniques, or catch some live rounds (MOUTH GUARD REQUIRED). Thai pad practice allowed -- please check in with Lu before borrowing equipment.
