Self-Defence & Personal Safety Workshop – Ladies & Girls Only

💥 Ready to feel safer, stronger, and more confident? Join us for a hands-on, empowering workshop that will equip you with practical self-defence skills you can use in everyday life.

This is Workshop 2 of 2 in our series, delivered as part of the Warrior Project – a National Lottery-funded initiative by Ignite Your Power CIC. In this 2 year project, we'll be running 60 FREE workshops across Hampshire to help women and girls build strength, resilience, and safety awareness.

🔴 Workshop 2: Ground & Weapons based Self-Defence
Who it's for: Women and girls aged 12+
Length: 90 minutes
Focus: Confidence, awareness, and essential ground & weapons defence techniques

What you'll learn:

• Re-visit techniques taughte in workshop 1: Escaping common standing grabs (wrist holds, arm grabs, clothing grabs, grabs from behind)
• Escaping ground based attacks
• Weapon attack awareness and escapes
• Understanding personal space and assertive communication
• Key principles for self-defence and personal safety
• Defensive stance and foundational movement techniques
• De-escalation strategies to prevent conflict
• Real-life scenario discussions
• Empowerment through practice – not panic

Extra bonus: Stay for the optional Q&A after the workshop to get personalised advice from our friendly, experienced female instructor.
