Drowning is preventable when all five layers of protection are in place: barriers and alarms, active supervision, water competency, life jackets, and emergency preparation. Together, these layers work to reduce risk and save lives, helping to keep our families and our community safe.That’s why Steelhead Aquatics LLC (aka Candis’ Swim Lessons) has partnered once again with Elite Medical Training Academy to offer free CPR classes in 2026. These classes are designed to strengthen our community’s ability to respond confidently and effectively in the event of a water emergency.
This is not a full CPR certification course. However, participants will receive hands-on practice and learn the essential steps of CPR from a certified Trainer that can make a life-saving difference while waiting for emergency responders.

Class Format: American Red Cross
Who can attend: General Public. Those who are able to kneel and perform chest compressions on manikins (some accommodations are possible).
