FREE 'At Home with the Seasons': Spring workshop

Join our Spring online workshop: 'At Home with the Seasons', where we'll delve into the beauty of spring and its natural landscapes. Rooted in the principles of Montessori teaching, our workshop is tailored for individuals living with dementia.

Whether you live in the countryside, suburbs, or city, our workshop encourages you to engage your senses and connect with the natural world. Crafted to mirror the ebbs and flows of the season, each workshop takes inspiration from the At Home with the Seasons resource and focuses on the current time of year.

This workshop will inspire, encourage and equip you to support people living with dementia and their family carers to connect with the seasons, both at home, and close to home. The workshop will provide an opportunity to consider not only the natural seasons, but the seasons of our lives. Whether this is your first seasons workshop, or you have already attended several, you will come away with fresh ideas to try in your context.

This seasonal workshop will be led by Charlotte Evans. Inspired by cherished moments with her Gran, Charlotte established the social enterprise Story Chaplain, dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace everyday creativity in their interactions with those living with dementia. With an MA in Bibliotherapy (fiction therapy), Charlotte infuses her workshops with poetry and creative writing, intertwining the magic of nature and the seasons to facilitate profound connections.

Throughout the year, we invite you to join us for four workshops, each a seasonal celebration of nature's ever-changing beauty. You are welcome to attend, one, several, or all workshops.

Once you have registered the Zoom invitation will be sent to you, as well as a reminder on the day of each workshop. The Zoom meeting will open 5 minutes before each session for a start at 4pm. There will be a short screen break during our time together, and we will finish promptly at 5.30pm.
