Freaky Friday: A New Musical is coming to The Beryl Flett Studio, presented by Hummingbird Performing Arts and performed by local young artists.Based on Mary Rodgers’ beloved novel and the popular Disney films, this funny and heartfelt musical tells the story of an overworked mother and her teenage daughter who magically swap bodies just 24 hours before a wedding. As they navigate each other’s lives, both gain a deeper understanding of family, empathy, and what it truly means to walk in someone else’s shoes.
Featuring a contemporary pop-rock score by Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal), Freaky Friday is a warm, humorous, and touching production that appeals to audiences of all ages. Showcasing the skill and dedication of emerging performers, this musical promises an entertaining and meaningful experience for the whole family
