Fountains Ways Autumn Pilgrimage - Families Walk (3 miles)

Following a bring-your-own picnic in St Andrew's, Kirkby Malzeard, churchyard, from 12.45pm, join Cathy the Curlew for a fun-filled family pilgrimage through beautiful countryside between Kirkby Malzeard and Winksley. This gentle 3-mile adventure is designed especially for children and their families, combining exploration, fun, reflection and discovery in the great outdoors. On arrival at Winksley, a cream tea will be offered.

Following part of the Curlew Way pilgrimage route, young walkers will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities inspired by local wildlife and the wonderful curlew. Along the way, Cathy the Curlew will guide families through games and nature-based activities, helping children connect with the landscape, while discovering the importance of caring for our countryside and its wildlife.

The walk will include opportunities to explore, play, create and reflect together, making it a memorable day for children and adults alike. Whether you're new to walking, open to encountering God through nature, or simply looking for a fun family day out, this special pilgrimage offers something for everyone.
