About this Event
Forest Bathing Retreat: Healing After the Storm
with Asheville Wellness Tours
Saturday, September 27 | 10 am - 1 pm
Nature is always in a cycle of change, resilience, and renewal. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the forest continues to quietly heal—and so do we. This reflective retreat offers space to honor the impacts of the storm on both our inner and outer landscapes, recognizing how deeply connected our personal and collective healing is to the natural world.
Your guide, Kelly Bruce, will lead you on a gentle journey through the recovering forest, weaving mindfulness, breathwork, forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku), and nature therapy together for a restorative afternoon. We’ll gather in community to explore themes of resilience, interconnectedness, and hope. All are welcome—bring your curiosity, tenderness, and an open heart. Presented through Adult & Continuing Education Programs in collaboration with Asheville Wellness Tours.
Kelly Bruce is a writer, forest therapy guide, and nature connection mentor based in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Her mission is to help others deepen their connection with nature, community, and Self. Kelly is an Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Certified Guide and Certification Consultant. She is Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified by the American Red Cross.
