*English text below*Vi er glade for at kunne invitere jer til et offentligt foredrag om 'Buddhism in daily life' mandag den 18. november kl. 19. Foredraget bliver holdt af Meike Pereira, mangeårig elev af Lama Ole Nydahl og diamantvejs buddhistisk rejselærer.

Hvad handler det om?
Ordet, der bruges til Buddhas lære på sanskrit, er "Dharma", som simpelthen betyder "Som ting er". I foredraget vil du lære, hvem Buddha var, og hvorfor hans lære har vist sig at være nyttig for menneskers liv op til nutiden. Foredraget vil indeholde en introduktion til diamantvejsbuddhismen og fokusere på, hvordan vi kan integrere buddhistisk visdom og meditation i vores daglige liv.
I slutningen af foredraget vil Meike også være tilgængelig for at besvare spørgsmål.
Om Meike Pereira:
Meike Pereira er født i 1968 og tog tilflugt hos Lama Ole Nydahl i 1994. Hun har boet 10 år i det buddhistiske center i Kiel, Tyskland, og har ledsaget Lama Ole på mange rejser.
I 2005 bad han hende om at blive rejselærer og undervise.
Meike bor sammen med sine to børn og mand på landet i nærheden af Kiel. Til dagligt arbejder hun som DNA-forsker og retsmediciner hos politiet.

We are happy to invite you to a public lecture about 'Buddhism in daily life' on Monday, November 18 at 7 pm. The lecture is held by Meike Pereira, a long-time student of Lama Ole Nydahl and a Diamond Way traveling teacher.

Dokk1, Møderum 2 (The room is located between the Information and the Café)
What is it about?
The word used for the Buddha’s teachings in Sanskrit is dharma, which means simply “the way things are”. In the lecture, you will learn who the Buddha was, and why his teachings have proven helpful to people’s lives up until the modern day. The lecture will include an introduction to Diamond Way Buddhism and focus on how we can integrate Buddhist wisdom and meditation into our daily lives.
At the end of the lecture, Meike will also be available to answer questions.
About Meike Pereira:
Meike Pereira took refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl in 1994. She lived in the buddhist center in Kiel, Germany, for 10 years and has travelled a lot with the Lama. He asked her to teach in 2005. Meike lives in the countryside of Kiel with her two kids and husband. She works as a forensic-DNA-scientist for the police and is born in 1968.
