Harvesting Natures Bounty!

Spring will soon be upon us, we can feel the warmth of the days and the promise of natures bounty awaiting harvest. In preparation for this beautiful time of year, join Tam at Burton Educational Preserve for this basketry workshop.

An introduction into basketry. This day will include materials and instruction to create your own Foragers Basket. Inspired by various teachings, the essence of what has been shared and a small version of a basket will be made. We will talk about harvesting materials, processing and preparing them for basket making.

Time: 9am to 5pm on Sunday January 19th, 2025

Participants will be required to arrive at 9am sharp to begin the creation of your basket. Bring a packed lunch and water. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the day. We will break for lunch and hope to complete all baskets by 5pm.

Please plan accordingly to be present for the full day!

All tools and materials will be provided. For ages 17 and up. Prior basket weaving experience desired but not necessary.
