Alasdair Fraser's New Year Community Workshop & Ceilidh 2025

JAN 4 - SATURDAY: WORKSHOP & CEILIDH DANCE PARTY 9am-9:30pm Odd Fellows Hall, Nevada City

Alasdair will teach a medley of tunes, mainly by ear, and create spontaneous arrangements tailored to our large ensemble. Written music will be available.

For players of all ages on a wide range of instruments including fiddles, cellos, guitars, basses, woodwinds, harps, keyboards, etc.

Instruction is geared toward intermediate to advanced musicians, though enthusiasts of all levels are welcome.

WORKSHOP 9am - 4:30pm

9:00am doors open for registration - Coffee/tea provided

9:30am - 12:00pm - Workshop Part I

12:30pm Lunch will be provided at the National Exchange Hotel

1:30pm - 4:30pm - Workshop Part II

5:00pm-6:00pm Pizza - included in workshop price

CEILIDH & DANCE 6:30pm - 9:30pm Admission included with Workshop. Community members, family and friends are welcome to attend - Ceilidh only tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

JAN 5 - SUNDAY: BRUNCH & JAM 10am-2pm Odd Fellows Hall, Nevada City
