First Casts: Intro to Fishing (12 & under)

Introduce your child to the joy of fishing at East Lake Park in Chattanooga! First Casts is a fun, hands-on program designed especially for kids ages 12 and under to learn the basics of fishing in a supportive, playful environment. No license is necessary for kids under the age of 12.
Outdoor Chattanooga staff will guide participants through fishing fundamentals, including how to use a rod and reel, casting techniques, and basic fish identification. Rods, reels, and all fishing equipment are provided, along with engaging games and activities tailored for younger anglers to keep learning fun and interactive.
