Fire Science Banquet 2026

Come celebrate the achievements of the Fire Science Club and department during the 2026 school year. We will be honoring the 35 year career of Department Chair Dr. Sorin Iliescu as he is retiring. The Fire Science Club will also announce and congratulate the new E-Board, as well as various awards. The Fire Science Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 11th, from 6 to 10 PM at Grassy Hill Country Club. During the banquet, dinner will be served, and the dance floor will be open all night. Students will meet outside Maxcy Hall at 5:30 PM for buses to take them to Grassy Hill. Students will take the buses back to the university at 10 PM. Students must ride the buses to and from the event. Non-students are allowed to drive themselves and park at the venue. Dress code is formal attire. Current students are free to attend. Outside guest tickets cost $25.
