This is a focused training session designed to help performers prepare for auditions in a professional and supportive environment. During the workshop, participants learn essential skills such as selecting appropriate material, presenting themselves confidently, and following audition etiquette. Through mock auditions and hands-on coaching, participants receive personalized feedback on performance choices, delivery, movement, and overall technique—giving them the tools they need to show their very best selves when it counts.
About Your Instructor:
Eryn Reynolds is a music, theatre, and film professional with over 15 years of experience both on stage and behind the audition table. Her career has taken her around the world, including Off-Broadway in New York, Studio City, California, and Stratford, England. Most recently, Eryn spent seven years performing with the resident theatre company Shadowbox Live and continues to work regionally in theatre and film while actively performing in the local commercial music scene.
Details:
1. This is a 2 hour workshop taking place at Music Royale Saturday January 31st from 2-4pm
2. Students should come prepared with one or multiple of the following:
- 16-32 bars (or a verse and chorus) of any song
- a one minute monologue
- a portfolio of technical theatre experience
Material does not need to be memorized (though it is encouraged) but students should be highly familiar. Accompanament and sheet music for the songs are not required for the purposes of this workshop.
3. The total cost per student is $30.
4. Feel free to bring a recording device to record the session for yourself. (This is for personal use, no posting please!)
5. Please arrive on time with energy and a great attitude.
