Are you concerned about the state of the world? Feeling fear, rage, sorrow and despair, mixed with denial and the urge to just keep on keeping on? Ecological disasters and social injustices have been piled on top of one another, and we are caught in the maelstrom. We cannot offer a magic wand, but we do offer a structure to start to explore these feelings and come to a deeper understanding of our roles and possibilities, all in a supportive group environment.This 3-hour workshop will take us through the decolonized spiral of the Work that Reconnects. The 7 steps of the process include: gratitude, personal awareness, social awareness, honouring our pain, seeing with new eyes, finding liberation, and taking action.
In this workshop, we will use a mixture of discussion, personal writing, visual image-making, embodiment practices, ritual, and song to help us find empowerment and strengthen our ties to Earth, community, and purpose as we face the state of the world. Facilitated by Kazimea Sokil and Celia Laval.
This introductory workshop is followed by a 7-week, deeper dive into this exploration and discussion.
$30 fee, with scholarships available.
