Get your year underway with the PopRox Summer Refresh! Sharpen those basic improv skills so you’re ready to thrive in 2025 with a solid foundation.
Keen to find the game and crank up your funny? In this three hour workshop you'll learn how to add in games to your scenes and play them till their breaking point! With a focus on heightening, handles and all things hilarity, this workshop is perfect for honing those basics!
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Nina is a comedian, improviser and producer who has been improvising professionally for 6 years with companies such as Poprox, Mmmpop, Airhorn, Playshop and Late Night Knife Fight. She is the ginger half of comedy duo Ginge & Minge, having toured NZ & Australia with her long-form improv show Jez & Jace amongst other shows. She won Breakthrough Comedian in the Wellington Comedy Awards 2024, was nominated for Best Newcomer Wellington in the NZ Int. Comedy Festival 2023 and is a two time Billy T shortlist recipient. Nina has been teaching improv on and off for 10 years and if there’s one thing she’s great at it’s finding the game and heightening it to breaking point (all in the name of comedy of course)!

PopRox firmly believes that improv is for everyone, especially when it comes to sharing skills and knowledge. So we're offering "the stand-by list" for all our workshops in 2024. We'll giveaway any spots remaining a few days before the first workshop of the course, on a first-come-first-serve basis. No need to provide a reason, no questions asked. If the entry fee is a barrier for you to come along, then simply email [email protected] and we'll pop you on the SBL. Everyone on the list will be notified whether there was a place available for them 3 days before the workshop.
