About this Event

What is the true cost of your blue jeans?

Join us for a special screening of RiverBlue: a groundbreaking documentary that exposes one of the world's most pollutive industries: fashion.

Following renowned international river conservationist Mark Angelo across the globe, and narrated by clean water advocate Jason Priestley, RiverBlue reveals how the manufacturing of our everyday clothing - particularly denim - is poisoning and destroying some of the world's most vital rivers, and devastating the communities that depend on them.

Through harsh chemical processes and the irresponsible disposal of toxic waste by the textile industry, our most iconic wardrobe staples come at a hidden environmental cost. But RiverBlue doesn't just expose the problem - it explores the solutions and innovations offering real hope for a more sustainable future.

This screening will be followed by a live talkback with the producer, giving you the chance to go deeper into the film's themes, ask questions, and discuss what meaningful change in the fashion industry can look like.

📅 Date: Friday, May 16th 🕒 Time: 3:00 – 6:00 PM 📍 Location: LaSalle College, 2808 Bradfield Court, Vancouver

Presented by Dreamstill and EcoNova.

Whether you're a fashion student, sustainability advocate, or simply curious about the environmental impact of what you wear - this is a conversation worth having. See you there.
