About this Event
Durham Region plays a significant role in Ontario’s film and television industry with its mix of industrial, urban and rural locations that can be used as sets taking place in a variety of time periods.
Are you interested in having your property listed as a potential filming location in the Film Durham and Ontario Creates Locations Library? If so, Film Durham offers an opportunity for home owners and businesses to learn about hosting a film or television shoot that can be an exciting and rewarding experience but may hold some surprises if you’ve never done it before.
You will learn about:
- How to market your location
- Scouting and site visits
- Preparing for the production community
- How to be a film-friendly location
- Protecting my place - what questions should I ask?
- Production company responsibilities
