Join Oregon Wheelchair Hiking for a relaxed, wheelchair-friendly afternoon at one of West Linn’s best accessible parks!
🌳 Location: Fields Bridge Park, 821 Willamette Falls Dr, West Linn, OR 97068�(Just 20 minutes from downtown Portland)
This beautiful 19-acre riverside park along the Tualatin River offers paved trails, river views, and thoughtful accessibility features — making it a favorite for outdoor adventures of all abilities.
Why We Love Fields Bridge Park:
* ✅ Wide paved perimeter trail with gentle slopes and excellent river access
* ✅ Accessible fishing platform with covered picnic bench
* ✅ Two stone interpretive platforms featuring the Willamette Meteorite — the largest meteorite ever found in North America, discovered here nearly 13,000 years ago!
* ✅ Benches and picnic tables throughout (many with scenic river views)
* ✅ Accessible fire pit area (bring your own fire materials — foraging prohibited)
* ✅ Accessible restrooms and parking
* ✅ Community garden, baseball fields, and playgrounds (note: playgrounds have bark chip surfaces)
Dogs are welcome on leash 🐕
Our Route: We’ll start at the main parking lot across from the baseball fields and accessible restrooms, follow the paved perimeter trail, and explore the accessible loops with the fishing platform and meteorite displays.
What to Bring:
* Picnic lunch & plenty of water
* Binoculars for birdwatching (ducks, geese & more!)
* Layers (June weather can be variable)
* Sunscreen and hat
