Join us for Teddy Bear Picnic at the Nest at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.

Children are invited to bring a favorite teddy bear or stuffed friend for a cozy morning of storytelling, pretend play, and community connection. This free event is designed to feel gentle, playful, and welcoming for young children and their families.

We’ll gather for a simple storytime and create a paper picnic blanket for each child’s teddy bear or stuffed friend. Families are welcome to participate together, meet other local families, and enjoy a sweet summer morning at Little Nestlings.

Featured child activity: Decorate a paper picnic blanket for your teddy bear.

Children will use paper, crayons, stickers, and simple collage materials to design a small picnic blanket for their teddy bear or stuffed friend. They can create patterns, choose colors, and set up a pretend picnic space.

Children may practice: Creative expression, Pretend play, Fine motor skills, Social connection, Language and storytelling, Care and empathy through play
