The skies will tremble and the ‘stones’ shall fly at Fae Nectar in Lake Lure NC!!
The Festival of the Flying Stone on Saturday March 7th will be a FREE full-day celebration of trebuchets, catapults, and the fine art of flinging things with intention and flair! It will also feature a medieval artisan market, epic war band, sword fighting demonstrations by Krys Earles & the Mithril Mercenaries, and our very own Captain Moss hosting the festivities!
The main event is a live team-based siege competition presented by The Order of the Flying Stone, where crews face off in tests of epic aim and team coordination as they rain tournament tossables upon each other and their respective ‘castles’!
Earlier in the day, YOU are invited to join in on trebuchet battle matches! For just a few shillings, you’ll have the chance to take the field yourself and try our siege machines in an epic battle with your friends and your foes!
SWORDFIGHTING RETURNS to Fae Nectar with high-energy demonstrations and exhibitions by Krys Earles and the Mithril Mercenaries, bringing ringing steel and battlefield spectacle back to our festival lawn for the 2026 season!
Elsewhere at the festival, explore an delightful artisan village, a kids table featuring miniature catapult construction, and other surprises scattered across the lawn including a Big Catch Competition for those looking to test their skills and hand-eye coordination for cash prizes!
Call for All Siege Engines!!! If you have a catapult, trebuchet, or any manner or medieval mayhem maker, and you would like to show it off at our siege festival, contact us (ahead of time) without delay!
Come compete, cheer, build, and revel in a day of flying stones and clashing blades. Bring your crew, and we’ll see you at the Medieval Tavern of Fae Nectar!
