Money Box Academy Inc. is a Fayetteville, NC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivering free, shame-free financial literacy programming to families, youth, seniors, college students, faith communities, and small business owners across North Carolina.
In 2026 alone we have reached 1,230 individuals through 31 free programs across four territories. Every program is free to participants. No cost. No barriers. No shame at the door.
Our events are community-first experiences designed to educate, empower, and connect. From multi-week financial literacy series and high school boot camps to our inaugural Fayetteville Freedom Run: Money Box 5K, everything we produce is rooted in the belief that when a community has access to real financial education, everything changes.
We serve Fayetteville and communities across North Carolina with a Maryland chapter in development.

This Eventbrite listing is for visibility and community awareness only. Community members who plan to come out to fellowship, cheer on participants, explore the vendor marketplace, enjoy the kids zone, and experience the full community celebration are welcome to reserve a free spot here. You belong here and we are glad you are coming.
If you are planning to run or walk the 5K your spot is NOT confirmed through this page. All race participants must register and complete payment through our official RunSignUp page to receive a race bib, event t-shirt, finisher medal, and race packet. Your spot on the course is only secured once registration is completed and payment is processed on RunSignUp.
