Welcome back to the third iteration of the Cape fear River Run! This race will have three options: a 10k, a Half Marathon, and a River Rage Challenge where you can run both! Both races will feature different routes and use the Cape Fear River Trail. This trail is a beautiful, paved greenway trail along the Cape Fear River. The start and finish line will be at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. There will be on course support. There will be no pets allowed at this event.
This race will have an option to add on a VIP experience. This includes a private heated tent for VIPs only, VIP only refreshments, Bag storage, and VIP line for early packet pick up. Limited to 35 entrants.
The 10k route will use part of the Linear Park Trail and the Cape Fear River Trail passing under one trail trestle. There will be an aid station at the turnaround point (2.83 miles). Race cutoff is 8:30AM (90 minutes). That is a 14:29 minute mile pace.
The Half Marathon route (13.35 miles) will traverse the Cape Fear River Trail and pass under two covered trestles and past a waterfall. There will be aid at Clark Park (approximately 3.1 and 10.37 miles) and at turn around point (6.78 miles). Race cutoff is 11:30AM (3:15hrs). That is a 14:52 min mile pace.
For those that want the extra challenge of the River Rage, you get to do both races! Start with the 10k race and finish. Then race the Half Marathon and finish for a bonus challenge medal! If you finish before the Half starts (815am) just wait and start with the crowd. If you finish after the Half starts, just continue running.
Speaking of medals, we will have a medal tent near the finish line. So after you complete your race or races, proceed to the medal tent to collect your bling! Each race will have unique bibs to help identify what race you ran.

--RACE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT!! No race Day Registration!!

--Parking is in the Botanical Garden: 536 N Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301 We will have volunteers directing you.
--6am Packet Pick up opens - Closes at 745am.
--6am VIP tent open
--7am 10k and River Rage Starts.
--750am Top 4 10k awards.
--800am Half Marathon Starts.
--945am Top 4 Half Marathon awards
--1130am Course closes.
--Use your Race bib or your finisher medal for access to tour the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Garden closes at 5pm.
