FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium

The annual FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium is a conference for all FASS undergraduate students to share their research in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you are a student working as a research assistant, an honours student with a thesis project, or someone who is just starting out on their research journey, this symposium is for you.

The FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held in-person at the SFU Burnaby campus in the Student Union Building (SUB) Ballroom. The event will feature 3 minute research presentations and postering sessions. 

You do not need to be presenting your research to attend! The symposium is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff who are interested in learning more about the research that’s happening in FASS.

There are benefits to attending, even if you are not presenting!

• Discover new topics and possibilities for your own academic and research exploration
• Be inspired by the range of interdisciplinary research conducted by your peers
• Learn in a supportive environment what it is like to attend a conference
• Connect with a community of scholars and other like-minded students

This conference is student run!
