🌾🐴 **TUESDAY FALL FARMERS ACADEMY** 🐴🌾
Join us at **Double B Stables** for our **Fall Farmers Academy!** This hands-on program is designed to teach kids not just *how* farm work is done, but **WHY** we do it.
Each week, students will participate in a specific lesson, activity, or hands-on project while building the knowledge, confidence, and skills of a young farmer! 🚜🐐🐴
🍂 **WHAT WE’LL LEARN:**
🐴 **Animal Care & Husbandry**
Daily needs of farm animals, normal animal behavior, body condition, signs an animal may not be feeling well, safe handling, and groundwork & training.
🌾 **Feed & Nutrition**
Hay vs. grain, minerals, salt, water, reading basic feed labels, why different animals need different diets, and how feeding changes with age, workload, and weather.
🩺 **Basic Farm First Aid**
Temperature, pulse, respiration, vaccines, recognizing basic signs of illness or injury, wound-care concepts, and learning when it’s time to call the vet.
🍁 **From Fall to Winter**
Preparing animals for colder weather, shelter and bedding, water and hay needs, feeding changes, mud and weather concerns, and keeping animals safe as temperatures drop.
📅 **TUESDAYS • 6:45–8:00 PM**
**Scheduled Dates:**
🍂 **September:** 8, 15, 22 & 29
🎃 **October:** 6, 20 & 27
🚫 *No class October 13*
🦃 **November:** 3, 10 & 17
💰 **TUITION: $350 for the Fall Session**
Includes:
🐴 **10 instructional classes**
⏰ **1 hour & 15 minutes per class**
